As little as possible, written down.
What this site collects, where it goes, when it is deleted, and what we will never ask for. Plain words, no legalese.
On this site
No tracking. No analytics, no advertising, no cookies set by us, no social-media buttons that report back. We do not know who visits.
What our host sees. The site is served by Netlify, which keeps ordinary server logs (your network address, the page requested, the time) for a short period for security and operations, under Netlify's privacy policy. We do not read them. Netlify is where the site lives for now; we intend to move it to 1984 Hosting, an Icelandic host run on renewable power with a long record of defending privacy and free expression, and this page will say so when we have.
Fonts and code. The typefaces and the small amount of code this site uses are served from this site. Reading a page here makes no request to any third party.
The forms
What they collect. Only what you type: a first name, a way to reach you, which thing you are asking about, and a short optional note. We ask you not to share sensitive information in them, and we mean it; anything more belongs in a conversation.
Where it goes. Submissions are held by Netlify Forms, encrypted in transit, until we read them. We then copy what we need into our own records (a name and a way to reach you, kept on Proton services) and delete the submission from Netlify. We aim to do that within a week.
The encrypted channel. Messages sent through Write to us privately are encrypted in your browser with the Fund's public key before they are sent; Netlify stores only ciphertext, and only Wilfred holds the key. Signal messages never touch this site at all.
Email. Our mail is on Proton Mail. Email is not inherently encrypted: Proton-to-Proton mail is end to end; from other providers it is encrypted in transit only, and your provider can read it.
The Letters list. Addresses given to receive the Letters are held by Netlify Forms until moved to our newsletter tool (Ghost, hosted by Magic Pages), which sends the emails. You can leave at any time from any letter, and we delete your address when you do.
Circles
What we keep. For people in circles: a first name, a way to reach you, and the circle you are in. We keep no notes on what is said in circle. Keepers do not record sessions.
What we never ask for. Your legal name, your address, your date of birth, identification, or an account of what happened to you. If you choose to tell us something, it stays between you and the keeper.
If someone asks us for records. We keep as little as possible precisely so that there is little to hand over. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose something, we will tell the person it concerns unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Giving
Gifts made through Ko-fi are processed by Ko-fi and its payment providers under their own policies; we see a name, an amount, and any message you choose to leave. The ledger publishes amounts and months, never names, unless you ask to be named.
Questions, corrections, or a request to delete what we hold about you: hello@insearchofpeace.fund, or privately. This policy was last changed on October 16, 2026, and this page is the record of it.
